maternity & baby sessions

I specialize in location portraiture and offer maternity session in the privacy of your own home.  I travel with studio lighting and backdrops to provide a professional studio look or can incorporate the personality of your home in your images.  Newborn and baby sessions are offered in this same manner.  Set-up time is incorporated into the first hour. 

children's sessions

As a mother, I know how frustrating it can be when you want your children to do something and they just don't want to cooperate.  That is why my approach to children's photography is let them do what makes them happy.  Whether it be running on the beach or playing in their own back yard, they will feel most comfortable in a relaxed and fun environment.  That is why all of my children's sessions are on location in Newport and the surrounding area.  You may choose the location or I am happy to make suggestions. 

I try to keep photo sessions to one hour for small children (that's about all they can handle).  Families are welcome to join in during the session for some casual shots.  Being a trained photojournalist, I shoot a variety of fun candid images and posed shots, depending on the child's mood.  A combination of color and black & white images are provided.

senior & family sessions

Senior and family sessions are very relaxed and offer many options for creative candid or posed images on location in the Newport area.  You may select a location that is meaningful to you or I can make some suggestions.  Families should consider coordinating outfit colors or call for suggestions.

Seniors are encouraged to express themselves through their location choices or by bringing personal items that express who they really are, such as sports equipment or team uniforms, interesting clothing, vehicles, skateboards, musical instruments, etc. Anything that you feel comfortable with that will visualize your unique personality.
